Two Days National Level Workshop on Advanced Embedded System Design using PIC Microcontroller
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering Conducted two days National Level Workshop on Advanced Embedded System Design using PIC Microcontroller on (08.12.2017 & 09.12.2017). The inaugural function commenced with invocation and lighting of kuthuvillakku. Mr.SUBARAM SUBBIAH, Principal Engineer – IC Design, Broadcom India PVT.LTD, Chennai was the Chief Guest of the Function.
An embedded system is a computer system with a dedicated function within a larger mechanical or electrical system, often with real time computing constraints. It is embedded as part of a complete device often including hardware and mechanical parts. Embedded systems control many devices in common use today. Ninety-eight percent of all microprocessors are manufactured as components of embedded systems
The aim of the workshop is to provide opportunities for faculties, Research Scholars and students from various backgrounds to gain knowledge in Embedded Systems. This program focus on the objective of
- In depth knowledge to Embedded Systems
- Main aspects of Interfacing LED and Keyboard
- Solution of real-time engineering problem
- Analysis of various tools with hands on training session
The first day workshop began with an Introduction to Embedded systems and Interfacing of LED and Keyboard by Mr. Robert and Mr. Thomas. They delivered an excellent presentation about Interfacing of LED & Keyboard.
The second day workshop began with an Introduction to ADC and Interfacing of ADC & PWM by Mr. Robert & Mr. Yogesh. They delivered an excellent presentation about Interfacing of ADC & PWM. It was a day well spent, discovering and learning about Embedded Systems.
